Homebound

Jared had lots of homework... So we stuck around the house.

Liv heard ducks, so we went out to see them...

They yelled "heeeeeeereeee duckyyyyyy"

And they came...three at first..

Then more...

These ducks are used to being fed, I think. They came right to us like pets... But we do not feed wild animals- so into the house for hot cocoa!

And music....

For what it's worth, that cd is not my favourite...

Then the unicorn club called an emergency- the lion club was out to get us! There were two hours full of sign posting, map making, etc etc...

Map of our house...

Clue- complete with code for alarm system on back...

Map, monster faces to scare off lion club member(bc to date jared us only lion club member- he apparently was kicked out of the unicorn club)

Ira color coordinated the drawing to the sticker...its fun seeing her start to notice little things like that...

We finally had some of the coconut milk ice cream! Better than the store bought (and less ingredients too)
This was cinnamon, nutmeg and vanilla flavoured....

We read another book we picked up at city lights.... This is a great book for people new to San Francisco/bay area.... Lots of info we didn't know and lots of places to see that we hadn't heard of!

I also received an email from a homeschooler in the area listing 25 things to do in San Francisco -it almost feels overwhelming!
Lucky for us, we all enjoy being in the city and sight seeing. We have lots of exploring to do.

Ferry Farmers Market

Ira excited to go...

The view...

This city is amazing... Parking far away just means you get to take in more of it... We love it here.

Can you believe I only took one picture?!
All the food was delicious! And relatively cheap...

We tossed some pennies in a fountain...

This bag is 100% compostable! Love. We got it from the grape stand... It's full of organic grapes- $5!!!! We got a late start and didn't make it to the market until noon- the guy was packing up for the day and gave us waaaaay more than we paid for!

We got pickles, plums, peaches, collard greens, arugula, heirloom tomatoes....
Doesn't this bunch scream "make babaganoush!"

Iras new fab snack- figs!
She said she's "in love with figs!"
"obsessed with figs"
Her words.
Her picture;)

We also hand felted some wool reusable coffee cup/hot cocoa cup sleeves...even jared got in on the felting... Then said, "we need a washboard..."
It is tiring and time consuming...

Still trying to get the sizes right... True to my nature, I'm not using a pattern. I'm sure there are a bunch out there. But I apparently like to learn things the long hard way.

Friday

We made iced tea...

We bought a new tea in huge packages just for ice tea... Ira held up the bag and said, "it's sooo..... Pretty!"
It was...

Liv draws...

Ira paints...

So liv paints too ;)

This is a unisaur...

I loved this one...

Balancing butterfly...

A craft that proved too much for the littles... Will try again in a few months...

Park after dark :)
We walked to dinner at chipotle, grabbed some hot chocolate to go and walked to the park...

Was a gorgeous night....

Random bits...

The past two days have been a whirlwind...
I dropped a glass of water on my phone and it had to sit in a jar of rice overnight so I am low on pictures...

There was paintings, drawing and coloring....

We read sleeping beauty from our new book....
It's a thick book- each story is nice and long, but with great illustrations... Keeps their interest longer :)

Ira built the two broken zhu zhu pets a ramp- she felt sad for them that they couldn't race anymore with their broken wheels :(

She has a ton of dolls, but prefers to dress her cats. This girl loves cats.

Fairyland got attacked by baby emers...

And relocated to the Cretaceous period....

Ira said, "I'm using this tiger as a sabertooth tiger... She is protecting her baby...." hello kitty is the sabertooth tigers baby. :)

Liv served me lunch...

Must be time to replace that bun! Looks like the finish is chipped... I didn't web realize it had a finish.

Liv and her bucket...
She is obsessed with buckets and sandcastles...
