we bought a bunch and made applesauce....and applejuice....yum.
the girls and I used the counter top apple corer, peeler, slicer- dumped them into large pot.
simmer with just about an inch of water until at desired consistency....
Ira spooned the mushy apples into the food processor...
two quick spins....
serious goodness... no spices, no added sugar.... nothing but delicious apples.
after the applesauce was done, I made some juice- apple (also using the peelings and cores from the applesauce!), celery and ginger- my very favourite combination.
then all this leftover pulp went to feed my compost!
