The girls got some money for Easter from Nan, grandpa and aunt Pauline.... So we went to lunch and then target. The girls both got stuffed pet shops and little baby doll, a jeweled bounce ball, eggs and Ira picked out Easter themed paper dinnerware for her "easter tea party".



Ira is IN LOVE with fancy Nancy. I went online and put a reserve on every fancy nancy book they've got ;) they came in today- so we also took another trip to the library....


The. Ira got online to register her stuffed petshop animal and play an online game.





Emers is at that really cute adorable baby stage where he is just content to be amazed at owning FINGERS! The endless joy......

Babys r us! Woo hoo

After we got through Phoenix- emers was Not too thrilled about the car- imagine our delight that we happened upon a babys r us and toys r us combo.

We ran off some energy, I nursed emers on a couch. Then we bought some entertainment since -ahem- Ira put a dime and a penny in the charger outlet and blew a fuse! We have NO radio and NO ability to charge anything!

We only found out the cause when we bought an iPhone charger at toys r us and it still didn't work!

So yes- we drove over 400 miles with nooooo electronics! I love my kids. They were AWESOME until about an hour before dinner- that pretty good!

So color wonder to the rescue!

faerie land adventures

Sweet Friends

The friends we went to stay with in colorado surprised us with a couple garbage bags full of clothes, coats, awesome tights, etc- then- she pulled out these beauties!!!


we are in LOVE. the girls have played with them non stop!

so very excited

My husband came home from work holding this beauty the other day. The pictures do not do it justice, because it was dark out and i didnt want to wait and get pretty pics in the morning.

Its from a local waldorf family that he works for... so cool. Ira has really really been wanting to get a highchair for her babies, and I really wanted one that matched her kitchen we got a while back, but just never seemed to have the extra money for a nice one, and I didnt want to spend the money on a cheap plastic one that wouldnt hold up to this tribe of children my husband and I are making ;)

Thank you waldorf faeries for keeping us in your acts- even though we shopped toys r us this bday instead of nova naturals! Ira is currently waxing on a star wars obsession, that I am hoping this new addition will help tame ;)

book club

we joined a book club at a local toy shop- you are supposed to read a book, do a craft or draw a picture about the book & bring it in for a stamp... after so many stamps you get prizes/free passes, free gelato, etc.

we keep forgetting to go in for the stamps... but here is a snippet of the latest drawings!

this is about to be a very odd post

but a very lovely, much needed odd post.

public bathrooms, how i LOATHE thee...let me COUNT the ways.....

1. you are too small for me and my two children to use all at once

2. there is nowhere CLEAN for my 3.5 year old to be while i am changing the baby.

3. there is no where clean to change the baby

4. you smell

5. you are unappealing to the eye.

6 i could go on all day....

but i wont, because, obviously- ikea agrees with me....

thank you ikea.

thank you for a comfy, awesome, CLEAN restroom, with a comfy SEPARATE  but attached pricvate clean nursing, changing room that i felt comfortable nursing my wiggly easily distracted 10.5 month old that was overstimulated by the huge, loud, crowded store :).

thank you for the beautiful paintings, for the posted sign letting me know that nursing was welcome ANYWHERE and that free diapers and changing pads were available if i needed them.

thank you for having lots of toys for ira to play with and kid sized sinks....and a table for her to sit & color.

ive been here many times, but this trip was the first with two kids, and i appreciated it all so much, i felt compelled to take pics & post to the world my love.

note about christmas

on christmas eve, all ira did was talk about unicorns & princesses.... so we thought we would take a trip to our local lovely mildre & dildred... to pick up a unicorn or two.

our eldest lovey wanted...... nothing. "i just love to play mama".

so we picked up a few small things when she wasnt looking.... headed home.

the next morning... when we said, "look at all these presents for you"... she said, "you need some too." and she gave liv, jared & i each some of her things to open.

there were roughly 12 small presents...most hand made... she was so excited for each, and overwhelmed by the time she opened half.... sayingg, "i think i should give you & baby liv the rest, i have enough".

Birthday Celebration Take 1!

we went hiking in sabino canyon....

It was freezing and beyond windy [read 65degrees with a breeze], but it warmed up a bit and we had a blast. we took the tram up to the end for my first time. It was really fun.

Ira jumped right in one of the ponds that we stopped at, it was FREEZING!

Didnt stop her. We climbed rocks while jared and liv chilled, had a little picnic, looked for faerie houses, built a sand castle, and dug for buried treasures.









Then, after our wonderful morning, we went to the bike store to drool over the coaster bikes we are going to get sometime soon here.... and ended up buying ira a new bike! with training wheels! and a helmet!

she is getting crazy old!








and then after THAT- I got another wonderful gift!

A shopping Spree at Whole Foods!

I dont know about anyone else, but i am forever talking myself out of that cd i do not NEED or the $18 bath salts that are a bit much for a woman who never bathes to justify ;)

but not this day- this day- I got whatever i wanted and was not rushed even one time!

it sounds crazier than it was, i barely spent more than any other time i shop there, But i COULD have, and i think that was the point!
