a seriously intense:: Chain of Events

TWO WEEKS full of life in one teeny tiny post!

We tagged along with J on a business trip and travelled to San Diego for four days...
it was a beautiful drive down along the coast and an amazing few days in heaven- within 5 minutes of a Allergy Free bakery!

We adopted TWO rescue dogs.... And one got very very sick with parvo.

The home treatment for Parvo was intensive....

So we occupied time by:

Looking up raccoons on the iPad...

Making a permanent address for the healthy dog!

And Keira drew a picture of the two dogs running together...

Keira made a BUNCH of candles!

And solved a mystery using fingerprints...

Gears...

Sun!

Writing...

Digging...

Rain!

Princess crafts...

Very Very small post... :D

Saturday....

We went for a driving tour of all the places we lived-

This was the first and favorite...

After getting Thai tea in imperial beach, we drove the silver strand to Coronado and played on the beach at the ferry landing...

Ira is the only kid that put her feet in-

She. Loves. Water.

Then we took the ferry to downtown...

U.S.S. Midway

Downtown skyline...

They had a good time.... Then we went back to the hotel and had take out from California Pizza Kitchen- Whig now has a GLUTEN FREE menu!!!

Sunday

After feeling sick for a few days, the little ones got rowdy today!

This is the first time they played together for this long without Ira orchestrating. Emers is really getting old!

"what mama? I can't rip all these things down?"

Ira is still sick... She laid around and watched movies. Then came out and worked 18 pages in her phonics book and a couple pages in "explode the code".

She is really reading now. Sounding out words and figuring it all out. So cool to watch.

Busy Thursday!

Ira worked over 10 pages in her kindergarten math book and a few pages in a phonics book.

Then they all got to painting...

Gnomes and mushrooms....

Not creepy one bit......

Emers painted with watercolors...

Then we had a dance party!

Then steamed vanilla honey milk...

Ira took a sip of my rooibos chai with the steamed milk and declared "we are sharing THAT!" and then labelled it!

Friday!

We went to the park and met new friends! It was sunny and warm and I forgot my phone in the car. Not used to having a car during the day!!!

Car wash!

Olive and Cedric fell asleep...Ira pretended to be scared...

Then we went to the craft store!!!!!

Faerie house and centaur!

Stickers to add to their collection!

Emers has a new "thing". To be super silly he flops to the ground and laughs and rolls around.

Water guns!

Heart shaped sidewalk chalk!

Painting....

Snacking...

Purple yogurt! Ira always complains that she can't have colored sugar sweetened yogurt. I bought some food dyes that are made from food an spices and we sweetened our Greek yogurt with honey.

This girl was in heaven. I don't know why I didn't think of that sooner!

Ira has also been learning to read. So now liv is wanting to.... Liv and I worked on these words...

And ira read me this book! It's so cool to have my child read ME books!

She worked 5 pages in "explode the code".

I was holding off on teaching her to read because I am a waldorf leaning person. I believe academics should wait until the child is ready. Ira started getting her 6 year molars and then lost her front teeth and them BOOM- she demands to be taught to read. So I guess she I ready!

Regardless. It's cool. Watching it all click is fun.
