Sick days....

We are still sick! Stuffy noses and coughs.

Didn't stop us though.... Here is Ira and our cornstarch science experiment....

Then, while the kids were eating strawberries, Ira said "would YOU like a strawberry?" o said no, that I like strawberries, but the seeds always get stuck in my teeth. She said, "do you miss eating them?" I said sometimes.

She disappeared for a bit and returned with this- she had used a plastic Ikea knife to cut off the seeds for me! Made me cry. She is so sweet!

Emers and liv think so too.

Queen Ira!

Superhero luv to the rescue? No.

Hero liv destroyed the hedgehog, his home and the robot city. And the monchichi.

Emers stealing from the dollhouse...

Puppet shows...

And sweet sister cuddles...

Science Wednesday's

It started out a silly day... The unicorn club awarded some stickers for extra fancy dancing...

Puzzles....

Silly faces...

Then we watched beakmans world about water molecules... Which led us to the Internet.... Which led us to this awesome chemistry for kids site...

So we made hot cocoa and molecules...

Then we did an experiment.

Water molecules on the move...

Hot molecules move faster- so they mix the dye....

After 5 minutes...

Ira had me pull up a ton of experiments, so stay tuned!

Sunday

Totem pole drawings...

Walk...

Trying to make friends with ducks...

She gets so upset because they always fly away.

We walked to Starbucks and to get stamps...

Ira made wreaths for all the doors.

She also had an experiment brewing. She layered wet kitepaper and dried Indian corn...

And it sprouted!

She was pleased..

This is Ira with her crystal tree
She look less than enthused... and thats the furthest thing from the truth. She was ENTHRALLED. All night she checked on that thing every 20 minutes... it was fun to watch her as she examined the progress. It is now hidden away from our cats in the cupboard.

We also went to watch the bats emerge from an underpass near our house. These pictures probably do not do it justice... there were soooooo many bats, it looked like black cloud.
