we did some cloud gazing.

snacked on some apples

played in some leaves

daydreamed under the palm trees

came home to o ur saguaro

and took note of our spectacular front door view

our quiet time

library books!

we got some great GREAT books this time, some were on reserve since the holidays, so that should explain the titles a little....

A Monkey Among Us

The Winter Solstice

The Shortest Day: Celebrating the Winter Solstice

Growing Up With Tamales

Butterflies on Carmen Street

what is a mothers attempt to please two kids at once, alex?

or.....
"how to strain your back AND your neck at one time?"

more of my favourite room- the kitchen

we reorganized ira'ss play kitchens so that she could prep, cook & serve.

her "uncle" is a chef and she loves being just like "uncle shad".

since arranging it like this about a month ago- she plays for much much longer... and seems much more involved.

share!

i was inspired by a blogging mama who shared her realities.

ive been meaning to snap some pics of the neww desk & newly arranged rooms, but was waiting until they were "ready"

to heck with it- welcome to my home!

its definitely lived in! which is a GOOD thing.

OUR OFFICE!
including new/used desk, repurposed old desk (now craft table) and my new/used craft cabinet!
that thing cleared sooooooo much space in the actual art room in our yard.....if only i could get some time to go out there & paint!

OUR PLAY ROOM!

up there is the playstand with oh so tragically missing canopy.... darn cats... its in storage awaiting glue & such.

no really, it's WINTER!

or, at least thats what we keep saying.

she pulled out a summer hat, summer dress & "set afloat" in a row boat.....

love it.

best birthday bread ever!

thank you julia!

it was AMAZING- we DEVOURED it!

please send recipe- or make again- soon!

HAPPY 31ST BIRTHDAY JARED!

(it was the 25th ;))

view from my morning cuppa

please take note of liv when the second song starts... like she cant help but feel the beat!
