Emers is 13 months!
He is a super climber!
He will push a chair across the room, climb it, climb on the table and dance.
I have my work cut out for me!
At 13 months, liv and Ira weren't even walking!
Emers loves stuffed animals, gives them kisses and then hugs them and says "ahhhhhhh".
He says "hi!" and "dirse" (for nurse) and "I" (when he wants something). He can say "ouch" and "hot" and he can follow simple instructions like "can you shut the fridge door?" or "here put this in the trash". When he pushes a car or truck around he says "vroooooooom vroooom" and he chases the girls around with dinosaurs yelling "rawrrrrrrr".
He gives high fives and throws his hands in the air when you say "raise the roof!". It is adorable!
He is the observer. He does everything we do. If we put on lotion, he wants the lotion and puts in on himself. He brushes his own teeth, gets the brush, puts on the toothpaste himself and then brushes. He also loves everything Ira has. Liv cannot be bothered to let me or Ira put a bow in her hair. But Emers screams for a bow, he will sit so still while she puts it on and walk around with his hand on it to make sure it doesn't move.
He can open doors, latches, and just this morning, I found him using a small piece of plastic that looks like our bathroom key to try and unlock our bathroom door (which I have yo keep locked because he tries to play in toilet and can fully climb onto the counter or into the tub).
Needless to say, with a 5.5year old and 2.5 year old- I'm kept on my toes.
Lucky for me the girls adore their brother and are quite happy to play and include him in all that they do. Even if it means letting him trample their stuff. Without ever being asked- they share and involve him. I am lucky!
Emers doesn't like being told no, however. If liv doesn't want to share her drink- I have to step in quickly because Emers attacks! Temper temper! Already!
A year ago, I thought my life might never feel normal again! Now I realize that normal is a definition in progress! Things get easier and man! They grow fast!!!!!!
