Bazaar Bizarre

Crafting day!

IRS made me a star with an orbiting moon....

And a best friends heart. I got the missing piece :)

Then we wentto fort mason for bazaar bizarre- a crafter heaven.

First we stopped here for used books!

Inside the mood was nice and festive...

And busy!

We took a few breaks from the bustle to enjoy the view...

And got ice cream...

Back inside to try on stuff!

The fog rolled in really thick!

We had to stop at whole foods on the way home- she made me so nervous grabbing from the middle!

Friday

Ira wrapped up zooples in coordinating kite paper.... They were seeds to be planted, and the kite paper was keeping them warm.

It also led to Ira leading us in a Simon says sort of game.
"seed says- sprout!"
"seed says- grow through the dirt!"
"seed says bloom towards the sun"

I said "give me a 'I'm a super serious artist' face!" and this is what she did!

I turned my back for two seconds and he grabbed the bread off the counter.

Which is why the girls have to put puzzles together on the table.

I used a new method to cook sweet potatoes tonight (from Here!)and I don't think I'll ever cook them another way!

Slice them thick, toss with oil. Bake 30minutes at 350 and then turn it up to 400 for the last 20minutes.

Sooooo good.

Emers

He can walk and open doors using the handles. He brushes his teeth and his hair. He uses a fork and spoon (sometimes). He walks away from me and heads off with his sisters to play.

Where oh WHERE has my BABY gone?!

SUN!

It's the equivalent of the ice cream truck. We see it and run as fast a we can into it.

We miss home.

Last night we were all in the office looking at old pictures. Pictures of a year ago when Emers was born, of 2.5 years ahi when liv was born.

Ira said, "I really miss home. I had forgotten it. But now I see it and I really really miss it"

That was a hard moment for all of us.

So when the sun came out today, we went for it.

Trying to enjoy the beauty of falling leaves. Something that we didn't get a whole lot of in Arizona.

Bright red leaves....

Collecting fallen seed pods/caps for fairy hats.

One duck, two duck....

Then they spot you...an start flying in.

Once home Ira set up a cafe as we were all starving.

St. Nicholas Day

Instead of putting out their shoes (it was raining) they hung their socks. They got 1 dollar for every year they are and were encouraged to donate or use it for others in some way.

Coloring St. Nicholas and drinking hot cocoa while I read them stories about St. Nicholas.

Ira's-

Liv only wanted to do one, but she personalized it. I love how she cuts up the edges....

Liv and the easel

The girls both paint and draw a lot.... I was contemplating getting them easels but wondered if they would use them more than painting at the table. Are old easel was used a lot but kind of led to more messes than art.

I pulled out my easel after getting oil paint on the kitchen counter too many times and she stole it.

Literally refuses to let anyone near the easel :)
I think my easel is perfect but it's not the most sturdy- liv likes it because Cedric can't get to her stuff, there is room in the drawer for a sippy cup and many supplies-

She has painted/drawn/white board drawn at this easel for over two hours at LEAST everyday.

It has been so interesting how this space has inspired her so much.
