learning to crochet- without help or patterns

the girl loves her feet

and i love to share

enjoy

tis the journey....

not the destination that makes thine heart full.

sigh.

It was a grand adventure in flour, water, construction paper & balloons, but in the end, we just painted a box..... over-thinking was my downfall when asked, "mama, how can we make a ROBOT?"

Birthday Proper

I will leave out all the requisite pre game drama and stick to that which meant most-

Dinner with Lovely Family & Friends that ended with two blissfully sleeping children and one *slightly* tipsy mama. Mexican Food, Margaritas, & possibly a shot or two of Tequila... luckily for this mama- there are no pictures.

It had been one long time.

I love my dear friends that took me out to dinner and gave me gifts!

Especially since i was NOT expecting anything but laughter- just beautiful.

Birthday Celebration Take 1!

we went hiking in sabino canyon....

It was freezing and beyond windy [read 65degrees with a breeze], but it warmed up a bit and we had a blast. we took the tram up to the end for my first time. It was really fun.

Ira jumped right in one of the ponds that we stopped at, it was FREEZING!

Didnt stop her. We climbed rocks while jared and liv chilled, had a little picnic, looked for faerie houses, built a sand castle, and dug for buried treasures.

Then, after our wonderful morning, we went to the bike store to drool over the coaster bikes we are going to get sometime soon here.... and ended up buying ira a new bike! with training wheels! and a helmet!

she is getting crazy old!

and then after THAT- I got another wonderful gift!

A shopping Spree at Whole Foods!

I dont know about anyone else, but i am forever talking myself out of that cd i do not NEED or the $18 bath salts that are a bit much for a woman who never bathes to justify ;)

but not this day- this day- I got whatever i wanted and was not rushed even one time!

it sounds crazier than it was, i barely spent more than any other time i shop there, But i COULD have, and i think that was the point!

i got this and this and this

and also- these-

ya'll know I lurve my fresh young cocnut!

oh my my my

no posting lately because- its 85+ degrees today and we are just in love with our city.

but I believe that if all goes well, Im going to update tonight!

Lots has gone on, my birthday was sunday, Ive started crafting for the solstice and possibly an etsy store- will have to stay tuned on the long tem for that news.

But I will leave you with this fascinating tidbit- liv took her first knee today.

haha

as to say, she crawled her first crawl.

be back later!

Tagged!

Tagged!
Crystal over at HIPPIE DIVA has tagged me, so I'm here to give you seven (7) things I learned the first month as a mother.

1 -- Hospitals SUCK!.

2 -- Doctors and their office staff suck even more ;)

3 -- Breasts get three times the size you ever thought they could ever be.....

4 -- Breastmilk comes from not just one hole on the nipple, but about a thousand!

5 -- Instincts are very real....

6 -- trying not to pee your pants and sneeze at the same time is an art.

7 -- do NOT try to subsist on walnuts and whole milk- you are not a genius-that is not the perfect way to get energy and never put your baby down. its a BAD IDEA!

I hereby tag anna over at another rotten banana, julia at by strands of wyrd we are united and des at hanging with the elkins
