Gone fishing...

The kids turned bins into boats and made faerie wands into fishing poles...


And drew underwater scenes...

We also got to watch a neighbours teenage son learn to sail.

Redwoods...

We took some time to slowly meander through a lovely redwood grove.

At least I meandered, the girls RAN!





And then sat...


And then refused to walk.

Ira said, "do you have anywhere else on your body for me to sit?"


As we left we stopped in the visitors center. They posed this question- to vote on whether you thought that redwoods should be cut down....

Ira started pressing the NO, NEVER! Button.

I said, "you're only supposed to vote once per person!"

She replied, "I'm voting for each redwood we walked past that told me they DO NOT want to Be cut down!"


Fair. E. Nough.

Afternoon at the Beach

Great day.... Mid 70s, sunny, not too terribly windy.

The heat wave!

We had a little heat wave! Days in the 90s!!!!


I was in heaven, but the kids were acting like it was 120 degrees.

In efforts to get them to un-beach themselves...

They put on bathing suits and played in the cold shower...

We ate raspberries & watermelon....





I made Bone broth and we examined the bones structure- totally cool.

Then when the breeze started blowing off the lagoon, we went outside...
