Park!

The gods were pleased with jareds return! The sun shone all day!

This is Ira's super secret spy phone with "a bad guy tracking App"

The lagoon was FULL of people enjoying the day. We did a lot of boat watching. (Emers favorite activity)

Long walk to a park we had never been too!

Through a path we didn't know existed!

Played until after dark...

Daddy is Home!

We set the alarm and got up early- needlessly, because I forgot to factor in customs....

But the kids were so excited!

As we walked to the car, a plane flew overhead. They were convinced it was Jared. It wasn't ;)

Waiting patiently...

In all the excitement I missed getting a picture. I was just as excited and took off running too:)

It was adorable seeing the kids all rush him. Emers ran so fast, arms stretched out, signing hug, yelling "Add, Add!!!"

Air Train Ride...

Gifts from Hong Kong...

In other less exciting news, our little garden is taking off...

This pot contains a blue flower- that flower was accidentally cut from it's plant as a bud.

Olive was so so sad, and mad at the groundskeeper. We took it and placed it in the dirt, more to pacify her at that moment. I never thought it would bloom....

Then it did.

Reminding me off the saying "bloom where your planted"

Ive felt disconnected since leaving Tucson, where I felt I had some "roots".... This sign gave me pause, and that boost I needed to really dig my feet in and bloom in this new, rich, soil.

With or without roots :)

This was the sunset! The single best we have ever seen here. It seems the sun was pleased Jared was home too :)

The girls were not interested in our evening walk, too tired.

Emers and I went on a long long stroll. The apartment complex was alive! So many parties, Indian food, Asian food, Mexican food and a big party in the clubhouse with Carne asada grilling and mariachi playing.

Emers fell asleep and I just walked in circles. It was a perfect way to end such a sad week with Jared gone.

Speaking of, here is a shot of him against the hong kong skyline....

Family Crafts

I love that I can open a container of random bits and hand them a stack of used paper ready for recycling and that they will spend hours gluing and creating...

Emers glues lots of himself to paper :)

Ira wanted me to snap some pics of hers...

I was trying to get them ready to go and they all disappeared into the playroom. I find it so awesome that this particular toy still gets played with, 4 years later, by all 3 kids.

Walk.... This hand holding was requested by Emers. He now insists on holding their hands instead of mine. My little baby is getting all independent!

Squirrel watching...

Bag Lady

I swear I look like a high end bag lady on park day!

Being a one car family is worth it, but I have to push this beast over 2 miles....

That's a 50lbs stroller, 100lbs of kid, and all the food, water and toys 3 kids might want or need in a three hour span.

I get the most confused stares!

Emers fell asleep in the way home. Instead of waking him up- we picnicked by the door.

Evening Park Trip.

It's amusing to me, that when we lived in Arizona, we spent most summer evenings out and at the park when the weather would "cool off" to 90, then 80 degrees.

Here, it was a 75 degree day, and we were sunburned. We waited until the sun cooled and went to the park- where it was a chilly, breezy 65 degrees.

I find myself glad to be avoiding the heat of Arizona by day- then missing my large mama/ family group and dinners in the park by night.

Especially when I see emails about dinner in the park with friends :)

However- the kids certainly enjoy not being hot....

Dress up. They were doggies. The pants were ears, the socks on their hands and feet were paws.
