workin'

we have been working our behinds off all week.

rearranging rooms, creating an office and art room combo, a good and USEFUL second bedroom..... perfecting our playroom....digging holes for our bamboo (yep- with babe on back...more on THAT later)....making fresh organic scratch pancakes and fresh veggie/fruit juice everyday for my family- including jared who was off of work allllll week.

we did all of this while dealing with major plumbing issues/ bad plumbers for 4 days and then one REALLY AMAZING PLUMBER that fixed it in just 4 short hours.

i'll be back to blogging soon.... jared is giving ira a detailed lesson on king arthur and i HAVE to hear it.....

note about christmas

on christmas eve, all ira did was talk about unicorns & princesses.... so we thought we would take a trip to our local lovely mildre & dildred... to pick up a unicorn or two.

our eldest lovey wanted...... nothing. "i just love to play mama".

so we picked up a few small things when she wasnt looking.... headed home.

the next morning... when we said, "look at all these presents for you"... she said, "you need some too." and she gave liv, jared & i each some of her things to open.

there were roughly 12 small presents...most hand made... she was so excited for each, and overwhelmed by the time she opened half.... sayingg, "i think i should give you & baby liv the rest, i have enough".

Christmas Morning

oh yes.... since we are not christian, i was not intending on celebrating christmas at all.... then ira saw "its christmas charlie brown" and it went from there. Ira does NOT believe in santa... but as she says, "mama, i like to pretend santa is real.... its fun!"


and who can argue with THAT?

OH & liv slept through all this... giving ira some MUCH NEEDED one on one time.


what you see up there is no doubt the nastiest, dye filled crap money can buy. buttwas christmas eve, and half off, and i promise- we are NOT eating it..... well, we ate the frosting- which was hfcs free. ;)

these took for-ever.... so worth it though... 70% wool 30% silk. they are so very soft...and so much more rich than these pictures portray.

this is a stick ira collected on a hike that i sanded, polishe and attached the metal clip to.... it holds a playsilk or long thick ribbon beautifully.


the night before our secular christmas i made this doll.... in about an hour, with liv on my breast/lap.... but, imperfect as she is... ira loves her...

while doing an entirely different craft the other day- ira picked up the acorns i had picked from target started gluing the tops on- then she started sprinkling cinnamon in between.... now we have scented acorns.
