Friday.

We woke up to phone calls at 4 am, warning us of a tsunami. We stayed glued to the tv and Internet to determine what to do. Jared was told to work from home, since his work was in the evacuate area.

After we felt safe, and danger passed, we headed to the park while Jared went to work for a couple hours.

This boy was ready to get OUT of the house!!!!



So was liv, she even drew a map to bring.



Ira was insistent We steer clear of anywhere that a "killer wave" could appear....



Serious.







So we went to a new park we had never been to.



Horse....

Kid sized monkey bars...



Ira said "look at the moon!" I said "yes it's shining bright". NO she said! "it's not even shining one bit! Its just reflecting the SUN!!!"



They finished the night up with lenticular puzzles...

WIP Wednesday

we are in the process of making spring art for the nature table and the walls....

this is a piece of carboard from an old pad of paper that the kids painted and we glued scraps of paper to....

when we went outside to take a picture, the kids acted like they hadn't been outdoors in about a year!

Sick days....

We are still sick! Stuffy noses and coughs.

Didn't stop us though.... Here is Ira and our cornstarch science experiment....





Then, while the kids were eating strawberries, Ira said "would YOU like a strawberry?" o said no, that I like strawberries, but the seeds always get stuck in my teeth. She said, "do you miss eating them?" I said sometimes.


She disappeared for a bit and returned with this- she had used a plastic Ikea knife to cut off the seeds for me! Made me cry. She is so sweet!


Emers and liv think so too.

Superhero luv to the rescue? No.


Hero liv destroyed the hedgehog, his home and the robot city. And the monchichi.

After feeling sick for a few days, the little ones got rowdy today!

This is the first time they played together for this long without Ira orchestrating. Emers is really getting old!














"what mama? I can't rip all these things down?"





Ira is still sick... She laid around and watched movies. Then came out and worked 18 pages in her phonics book and a couple pages in "explode the code".

She is really reading now. Sounding out words and figuring it all out. So cool to watch.

Sneezes

We have been sick. :( Chilling out at home feeling under the weather.

Liv drew endless pictures on the whiteboard for her pen pal "ijah!"


Treasure chest building... They cut gold coins and emeralds from construction paper. You can tell they feel sick because they kept fighting over ev.er.y.thing. They never do that.
