14 months....

Emers is 14 months!

He loves cashew butter on rice bread dipped in chia seed pudding....

And he likes having his picture taken. As soon as I take out my phone he leans forward and smiles. Sorry for the blurry pic!

He started saying "eyes" today. He took off my glasses and pointed at my eyes. He is loves taking off my glasses and examining them. The first thing he does in the morning is make his sign for "where did it go?" and say, "sssesssesss" (glasses). It's pretty cute.

He still doesn't say mama or dada. But he yelled "sister!" the other night.

New words he added are "ouch" "oops" and "nose".

He fell and ouched his nose outside on a walk. It was a memorable event for him apparently.

He is very active and wants to do every thing his sisters do. Which has resulted in lots of bumps and bruises. When we go for walks he doesn't want to be held, he wants to RUN! At the grocery store or target he squeals as soon as he sees the shopping cart!

The older kids preferred to be held until they were much older so this is all new! The girls didn't walk until almost 15months. They were too busy being chatterboxes, I think.

It is so so so interesting to see how different each child is.

Emers also does something Liv and Ira NEVER did- request Jared to hold them for long periods of time. He will run to Jared and hug him and pat his back, resting his head on his shoulder. He will stay there for a really long time and protest if I try to take him or Jared tries to put him down.

So that's the update I have for the baby.... Or toddler? Yikes. It seems to soon to call him that!

This week in pictures...

We've been too busy and I keep forgetting to snap pictures!

Here are some random shots from the week!

The rain stopped! It's coming back, but we are ignoring that!

Dr. Suess had a birthday! We celebrated at home AND went to the library for pajama storytime.

Saturday Farmers Market

This picture sums up the entire morning...

We got delicious organic produce for a fraction of what we would pay at whole foods AND found an amazing local sauerkraut stand AND the kids got to meet the people that grow our food. The kids cuteness always seems to score them free veggies and fruit to snack on too.

Then as we were leaving a balloon artist wanted to know if we knew anyone who could give a good home to some stray balloon flowers.

Later that day, the girls set a trap and snagged a bunny!

And we all fell desperately and hopelessly in love.....
