DINANA.

While the rest of the country was freezing and snowed in, it was sunny and 70 here in good ol' California!

Dianna came in around noon and we went to the beach!

We saw signs of glorious spring!

The sun was so hot! We were in tshirts! People (ok, one guy) were swimming!

Emers even let dianna hold him- for a whole ten minutes.... Or five, I may be exaggerating because he let's no one hold him ever.

What a great weekend!

I have been tired and busy am stressed- so this weekend was me trying to get caught up with all my little odds and ends.

We took a midday break on Saturday and walked the bay trail and two separate parks. I forgot my camera- so no pictures of that.

Today the girls played NON stop. The tv didn't even come on until after 3;) and even then it was just because Cedric needed a nap by couldn't settle down with the squealing and laughing that is music to my ears :)

I was not good at snapping pictures, but there was-

Sock skating
Jam ban sessions
Mom and baby play
We found strawberry shortcake- so lots of outfit/fashion planning.
Lots of dress up
Puzzles
Bowling
Scooters

Egyptology

Ira has always been a bit obsessed with ancient Egypt. She has watched more documentary films on Egypt than most adults I know.

In Denver, in 2009, we went to a museum that had an Egyptologist docent and Ira sat and discussed embalming with her for half an hour. The docent was quite impressed that Keira was only 3.5!

Well, lucky us, our library has an AWESOME Egyptian section...

We borrowed all these before the conflict in Egypt, but interestingly enough, her knowledge makes her very interested in the current events.

We read ALL these...

Ira drew/colored a sarcophagus.

I helped her write our names in hieroglyphics and she decorated the room.
