You can tell a moth from a butterfly because when a butterfly lands it's wings are up.....


When a moth lands it's wings lay flat.....


Liv was very interested in all of it....





She especially loved these specimens..... Probably because they lay still

We were at home depot getting a pipe and Ira put a few pipes together to make a cane and started dancing like Fred Astaire. Quite adorable.

We read some fancy Nancy and a really fin book called the great smelly slibbery small tooth dog.

At one point it made Ira so nervous she had to listen from the next room.

Easter dinner

Was soooo good. My niece was in town and we had dinner with our friends/ neighbours.

We didn't even get to ira's desert she picked out- maybe tomorrow!

We watched the princess and the frog and called it a night.

Cuteness


The girls got some money for Easter from Nan, grandpa and aunt Pauline.... So we went to lunch and then target. The girls both got stuffed pet shops and little baby doll, a jeweled bounce ball, eggs and Ira picked out Easter themed paper dinnerware for her "easter tea party".



Ira is IN LOVE with fancy Nancy. I went online and put a reserve on every fancy nancy book they've got ;) they came in today- so we also took another trip to the library....


The. Ira got online to register her stuffed petshop animal and play an online game.





Emers is at that really cute adorable baby stage where he is just content to be amazed at owning FINGERS! The endless joy......

Lemons lemons loooove

What a morning! Since painting the walls bright cheery colors with thin white curtains- my usual late sleeping children have been waking around 630 every morning!!!!! Ahhhhh!

So we are making the most of all this daylight.

Keira made herself a heart hair clip



She drew a field of tulips- that luv promptly attacked with a marker



Amd we are now making lemon ice- with a recipe sent from jareds dad.
Very simple
2c. Water
1c. Sugar
1T grated lemon peel
1c. Lemon juice
Make simple syrup of water and sugar, simmer 5 minutes. combine all the rest into cooling syrup. Place in loaf pan in freezer. Stir ever 15 min-30 min for 3-4 hours. Enjoy.
