Where's my homework?

We spent a couple hours at the park. On the way home, Ira asked "what kind of homework am I doing today?"

She is soooooo into worksheets and books and all things that I didn't think kids her age gravitate to. She is also adamant that she learn to read NOW!!!
We read a couple books

She played "where's Waldo" on my phone."

I printed up some stuff from enchanted learning.

_an words wheel

She was very proud of her handwriting...

A planet wheel...since she specifically requested more outer space stuff.

Then she drew the planets.
We were particularly shocked at how accurately she drew Jupiter(bottom left)

Life cycle of a lady bug and butterfly.

Sequence cards....

Sideways pic of "life cycle of scooby doo"

Library and Easter eggs

We made a long overdue book run today.... Picked up LOTS and LOTS of books.

And lots.......

Daddy already read one book we left at the library and this one.... I was jealous... This was one I had grabbed :) they say it was good.

On to the dyeing.... Thank you target-

We mightve dyed a bit of her hair pink. She showed daddy- his first words "does your mama know you did that?" Ira-"SHE did IT!"

I asked what she thought would happen if we mixed them all? "a rainbow?" nope... Brownish green.

Color mixing.....

We made purple from the blue and pink. Ira note blue and red are usually mixed.... When I told her that pink was made from red and white she said "oh, so red and pink are cousins"

I love her.

Wednesday

Ira held a drawing class for liv. It was sooo cute.

Then Ira made a get well card for her friend with chicken pox...

And drew a picture of me pushing Cedric in a stroller to the park.

Trimmed the low hanging grapefruit sprigs from our tree... They smell wonderful.

Off to get some egg dyeing materials!

Spring? Where did you go?

Looks like we got a whole week of spring! Now it's summer ;)

91ish degrees outside.... Thermometer inside our house says 80 degrees.... I think it's funny that in some places 90+degrees calls for pools and air conditioning and other cool off measures... Here in Arizona we have all our doors and windows open & and are enjoying the nice weather "before the REAL heat comes"!!!

Perspective. It's all about perspective.

The girls are enjoying an afternoon of digging.
They are GOOD workers.
Ira tries hard to not get her feet dirty....

Then liv pretends it's waaaay harder to push (a half pound of dirt) than it really is.

Ira asked

"does homeschooling imply homework?" I said, "what?" she said, "you know, does homeschooling mean that I'll have to do homework?" as if I was unsure of what imply meant. Haha.

She decided she wanted to do some homework about outer space and learning to read.

We looked up a TON of info about Pluto.... A dwarf planet, thought to made of ice. With an oval orbit, etc. Etc.
She drew our solar system

Then I read an info sheet on Pluto from NASA and she cut and glued Pluto into space.

We also pulled some info sheets from enchanted learning for later. I NEED a memberhip there!
Then she made invitations and a flyer to a sleepover...
Flyer-

Invites

Then she made a flip book

Wow! Life is feeling normal again after adding mr emers! Only took three months!!!

Madera Canyon

It was such a nice day we decided to go somewhere new... Well new for the kids and I. Jared had been there.

It was beautiful there!
First- we had cows blocking our way. Which was so cool. We just stopped and watched them.

Arizona is so amazing. 80degrees in the valley... 68degreea in the canyon... And SNOW at the peaks.

Then we went down to the UofA campus and had some frozen yogurt at Malibu. We love this place. I went againsty normals order and got sweet froyo and did not enjoy it after the first few bites.
Herebis Ira pushing around furniture to suit her.

She wanted the best seat to watch Betty boop!

-then we walked the campus for a while... Let the girls run free in the grass.

Orange blossoms at night.

Lovely afternoon

Ira wanted a picture of her with this tree. She said, "hello white tree! Canana! That's her name mama. Take a picture so I can remember her when we move!"

We played in a little orange grove.

Made wishes. Ira said "I wish for a unicorn every time"

Then I taught them to maKe dandelion crowns.
